City of Flowood's Grand Lighting of the Park
Attendance is free for all to join in the City of Flowood's Grand Lighting festivities, which include thousands of Christmas lights around Winner’s Circle Park, hot cocoa, Trail of Trees, and MORE all while local businesses compete in a family-friendly chili competition!
Chamber of Flowood's Chili Cook-Off
For the Chamber's Chili Cook-Off, buy your tickets online here or register a team for free today to participate in the chili competition! Tickets are also available for purchase at the event and at the Chamber of Flowood without a processing fee.
All tickets include a sample from each chili team, one full bowl of your favorite chili, and a water. A portion of the proceeds go to the Chamber of Flowood scholarship program, which benefits high school seniors from Hartfield Academy, Jackson Preparatory School, and Northwest Rankin High School.
Participation in the chili competition is exclusive to Chamber of Flowood members. It is free to register a team — contact the Flowood Chamber office for a team registration form or register online by clicking "SelectTickets" on Eventbrite. Awards range from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place to People’s Choice and Best Team Spirit…channel your inner chili chef and claim your title for best chili!

| ‘Light Has Come: The Angels’ Story’ follows the life of Jesus from birth to resurrection, told entirely from the angels’ unique perspective. The production features a cast of 130 dancers, including Ballet Magnificat’s professional company, three trainee companies, and 65 local students. “This ballet is incredibly special. The choreography is majestic, innovative, and inspiring. Light Has Come is the exclamation point on 40 years of Ballet Magnificat’s Jackson Christmas productions” said Keith Thibodeaux, Executive Director of Ballet Magnificat! Ballet Magnificat! has presented Christmas productions in Jackson for the past 40 years. Throughout the year the company tours nationally and internationally, and has performed their productions in 46 countries on 5 continents. |
