The Flowood Library has nearly 25,000 library card holders, and that number continues to rise every year. We also average 134,000 visits to the library yearly. The library is an essential part of the community and we are always looking at ways in which we can establish partnerships with local businesses.
All business owners and employees in Flowood are entitled to a free library card, regardless of whether or not you live in the community. The G. Chastaine Flynt Memorial Library is part of the 20 branch Central Mississippi Regional Library System, which encompasses the counties of Rankin, Smith, Scott, and Simpson. A library card issued at one branch is valid at all branches. The Flowood Library offers nearly 60,000 items for a patron to check-out, including: books, dvds, blu-rays videos, video games (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, etc.), music cds, books on audio cds, magazines, newspapers, large type books, e-books, and much more. The library also holds story times for children, crafts, book clubs, and an array of specialized programming.
From Jackson: Take MS-25 / N. Lakeland Drive to Old Fannin Rd. Make a left on to Old Fannin Rd. In 0.6 miles, turn right on to Winners Circle. The library is on the left across from Winners Park.
