About Us
Legacy Theaters Parkway first opened its doors in 1992 and was hailed as Rankin County's first and only modern multi-movie plex.
It was the place to be seen for teens and even the former site for crossroad film festivals. When the theater closed in January of 2023, it felt like some of our Flowood identity was lost – most directions to anywhere in Flowood start off with “take a left or a right at the movie theater.”
Legacy Theater Parkway reopened its doors in November of 2023 after a $2 million renovation by Flowood Quarter LLC. and a partnership with Legacy Theaters.
With new luxury seating and upgraded snack bar options, the theater is back, better than ever. The custom recliners are manufactured right here in the state of Mississippi and now those Mississippi-made seats are also being installed in Legacy Theaters in other states.
The theater has already hosted one Mississippi Movie Monday and has plans to work with the MS Film office to showcase other films made here in Mississippi along with all the latest major motion picture releases.
